On Saturday July 8th around 1,000 people demonstrate supporting Palestine on the streets of Bilbao. The march started at 17:30 before the Arriaga theater and after marching on several streets of Bilbao ended before the Arriaga Theater.
During the march Palestinian music was listened, but also slogans for Palestine and against Israel: "Leave Palestine in peace"; "Israeli State, Terrorist State", "Palestina go on", "No to any relationship with Israel", "You, the Zionist, you are the terrorist", "You, the Imperialist, you are the terrorist", "Euskal Herria [the Basque Country] with Palestine".

The members of Komite Internazionalistak and Askapena who opened the march were wearing the typical pointed hoods that wear the "joaldunak" [Basque folk dancers] to remember the "joaldunak" from a neighborhood in Vitoria who the day before marched and danced in a Gaza checkpoint. The march ended with a political act. At the beginning Gabi Basañez sang two "bertsos" [improvised poems] and then two members of Komte Internazionalistak and Askapena read a manifesto written for this march emphasizing that it is the time to pass from words to facts and to break any kind of relationship with Israel. From Askapena we hope that this march will be a strong, honorable and beautiful start for the permanent campaign we are making for Palestine and against the genocide politics of Israel. In this way we are inviting all the organizations and people in Euskal Herria [the Basque Country] to each one in his or her field exert a lot of pressure to get the relations with Israel cut.
