BOYCOTT to any expression ZIONIST-ISRAELI

This morning, at 11:30 twenty people attended a rally organized by Askapena in front of the Post Office in Bilbao.
Through its Post Service, the Spanish State just issued a stamp to commemorate twenty years of diplomatic relations with the Zionist Entity, Israel.
Through this rally Askapena starts this year its campaign 'BOYCOTT TO ISRAEL', and at the same time denounces the lack of freedom in the Basque Country and in Palestine to freely choose its future.
Among many other reasons, we also need self-determination to avoid issuing stamps commemorating diplomatic relations between two imperialist monsters.

This is the text we distributed during the rally. It contains the main points of the boycott campaign:

* As long as the Zionist ideology based on colonial oppression in PALESTINE and the genocide against its people go on;
* As long as Zionist people and their institutions refuse their responsibility for the Nakhba, for the ethnic cleansing and dispossession process which are the source of the refugees question, as long as they do not recognize that the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) military occupation and colonization is a crime that violates the international law and UN resolutions;
* As long as they keep the Wall and all the discrimination and segregation system against Palestinian citizens, as long as they keep 10,000 Palestinian political prisoners in their extermination prisons,
and given that all international intervention means have failed,

* We, ASKAPENA's internationalists, take part in the BOYCOTT to any Zionist-Israeli expression organized by over 270 Palestinian political, economical and union organizations.
* Thereby, we urge the Basque society, all its public and private, cultural, sportive, academic, financial and business institutions, all the unions, political parties and social organizations, and all the Basque citizens to a global strong boycott to all the Zionist-Israeli citizens and institutions, as well as their accomplices, in all fields.
* We MUST NO FORGET that the Israeli government and the Zionist and pro-Zionist institutions invest a large amount of money to persuade, through all kind of social, cultural, sportive, academic, financial, business, scientific...activities, the community international that the Israeli state is a legitimate, democratic and modern one, as well as a VICTIM of HISTORY, and thereby they justify their lese-humanity crimes and the state terrorism against the Palestinian people and the Arab world in general .
