Yesterday, January 7, Ahmad Maslamani suffered an heart attack an died at Ramalla Hospital. He has been one of the most important figures in the socio-political life in Palestine. He dedicated his entire life to the Palestinian people: he was a member of Central Board of the PFLP, director of the Health Work Committees, active member of the popular movement, he fought against occupation, and also on of the directors of the Campaign against the Wall.
He was imprisoned four times,and several times arrested. He was very respected, very valued and considerate in Palestine as well as abroad.
Many Askapena's brigadists had the opportunity to meet him. He knew very well the fight in Euskal Herria for their national and social liberation, and he really appreciate it.
We at Askapena would like to transmit to his comrades in the fight, to his friends and family our affection, solidarity as well as our determination to keep on fighting.
The best tribute to you is the liberation of Palestine, Euskal Herria, amd all the peoples in the world, and to advance towards the construction of socialism.

Ramallah-saturday 8\9\2007.The PFLP had commited a memorial party for Abu-Ali Mustafa the former general leader of the party who has been assassinated by the israeli army in 2000.
The party memorial tried to transfer his ideas to the serious palestinian political situation. The main concept was focused on the importance of a united society against the occupation-only the occupation. It focused also on the importance of the democratical culture and behaviour in gaza as well as in west bank.
So the PFLP wants to play the role of the right sense and tries to unite the political powers to conform a solid front against the occupation.
The match played in Gasteiz on March 7 between Baskonia and Maccabi from Tel Aviv not only meant the Maccabi's sportive defeat but also meant that it was not another basket match during the basket Euroliga, even though the rivalry between both teams. The match went beyond the mere sport.

With the zanpantzar from the Judimendi neighborhood marching before us, we march to Ajurienea, which is Regional President's Ibarretxe headquarters. At the doors, the bertsolaris Manex Agirre and Iñaki Viñaspre sang some bertsos asking him to stop being the 'friend' of Israel and to break off all kind of relations with the Zionist. Then the member of Askapena Ruben S. Bakaikoa read some extracts of the letter send to the 'lehendakari'.
Even though at the beginning the ertzainas [police] did not want to take the letter, finally they took it and promised us 'to give it to Ibarretxe'.
This morning, at 11:30 twenty people attended a rally organized by Askapena in front of the Post Office in Bilbao.
Through its Post Service, the Spanish State just issued a stamp to commemorate twenty years of diplomatic relations with the Zionist Entity, Israel.
Through this rally Askapena starts this year its campaign 'BOYCOTT TO ISRAEL', and at the same time denounces the lack of freedom in the Basque Country and in Palestine to freely choose its future.
Among many other reasons, we also need self-determination to avoid issuing stamps commemorating diplomatic relations between two imperialist monsters.

BOYCOTT to any expression ZIONIST-ISRAELI
The representatives from the villages of Ziordi, Urdian, Bakaiku, Etxarri-Aranatz y Arbizu presented today on Arbizu's City Council a motion proposed by Askapena and passed in the 5 councils. This motion denounces Israeli genocide politics against Palestine and Lebanon, as well as the complicity of the "International Community" with this genocide.
They also declare in their villages an active boycott against Israel and against the enterprises, institutions and activities that support the Zionist project.
It is time for other city councils, institutions and agents in the Basque Country to show and implement their rejection and contempt for the genocide against the peoples.
On Saturday July 8th around 1,000 people demonstrate supporting Palestine on the streets of Bilbao. The march started at 17:30 before the Arriaga theater and after marching on several streets of Bilbao ended before the Arriaga Theater.
During the march Palestinian music was listened, but also slogans for Palestine and against Israel: "Leave Palestine in peace"; "Israeli State, Terrorist State", "Palestina go on", "No to any relationship with Israel", "You, the Zionist, you are the terrorist", "You, the Imperialist, you are the terrorist", "Euskal Herria [the Basque Country] with Palestine".

On Friday July 7th around 20 people demonstrate before the headquarters of Basque Parliament on Gasteiz carrying a banner with the slogan "No relations at all with the killing state of Israel!". At the end of the demonstration a letter asking for an end of all kind of relations with the Zionist entity, Israel, was given to the President of the Basque Parliament.
Considering the massacre Israel, the Zionist entity, is executing against the Palestinian people and their democratically elected institutions, words are superfluous. The governments who won the Second World War compelled Palestine to live in an occupied land and where all their rights were violated. It is still happening.
